There is a thread for this stuff. But I will give a quick answer. Another 4.0l out of a Cherokee. You can get a rebuilt one or get one from the junk yard and rebuild it your self.

not true...

need one from a 91-99 cherokee... 93-98 grand cherokee and i forget what TJ's... the grand cherokees you will not be able to use anything but the engine/head... everything else is different around the motor... i recommend a 99 though because if you get it from a JY then you will probly get the intake as well which is a nicer and better intake... also its the newest and chances are of better mileage...

my recommendation is buy mine... was rebuilt in Jan... in a 95 cherokee... comes with everything... $400 for the whole front half of the cherokee... windshield forward... tranny included... no suspension or axles...

Sure it was true. It just wasn't as complete of a description as yours was. I know I am vague sometimes. My wife says the same

lol... saying something vague like that though causes people money... if he went and got a 88-90 4.0 or 00-01 then he would be out ALL that money and in more trouble then he is already... gotta be careful man... what you say on forums people most of the time rely on... i spend half the time on here modding the site... the other half fixing false information... lol

Cool. Point taken. But Taken an opinion from a forum like it is gold and running to the bank with it, without any research is just plain dumb. Just saying. lol Hopefully everyone reads this too.
