ok so I got my 1st jeep XJ a few weeks ago, still working on getting it to pass for the wonderful tag.
but want to do a lot to it.
what is going thought on a 6.5 lift long arm of course and doing the rusty's front quater panle with the 6" cut outs for bigger tires. once that is done I will be looking to take her out and break her in the right way.

Save money and cut the fenders yourself! Trust me, you will need all the money you can now that you own an xj!

Welcome aboard brother!

like he said... flares are useless on a offroad vehicle unless state mandated... no matter how much they flex its still $400 your gonna break at some point... cut the fenders yourself and they will look fine... buy a $15 body saw off ebay... and some blades... they work the best and are the cleanest cutting of sheetmetal... 6.5in long arms is all good though... spend that cut out fender stuff for a front or rear bumper...

that works was thinking about that any ways, but was looking at saving a bit of time and all. but will look into getting a cut off saw and go from there. will just need to figger out how much to cut off. but could always do the wrangler fenders and be done with it

Welcome man! Agree with all of the above your gonna need every bit of money you can get your hands on to build these damn things right if you want to go high on the lift. And as far as saving time, whats that, i got more hours into this rig than I do my prerunner and hardtailed harley combined.

I have the rough country. The upper joints are hiems tthey are pretty solid. I haven't gotten a chance to go out and beat them yet so I have no report on strength. But they look pretty. Lol. Du3c3s has short arms which I think the upper bushings are rubber and greaseable. Anything with heims should suffice. As long as the company warrenties them.

But from what I have heard Clayton makes a superior kit. But pricey

I am in the metro area of ATL, so yea have to make sure all is good with the tires hanging out from the fenders, don't want to give the state any more money then I have to. I have been looking at both rustys and rough country, and like how rough ya do not have to remove the arms to pull out the transfer case cause the support is removable. but from what I have read the kit is fully rebuild able and all of that and is about 300 bucks cheeper.
