Nothin wrong with the design. My track bar will probably have to have a bend in it to clear my oil pan.

If you don't mind the roll. It's not as bad with heims but still noticeable.

Farther along on the bumper. You've already seen it but here it is a bit larger.

I'd just assume invest in a cross over setup

My damn phone won't load your pics.

Nick, N20, has inverted T and doesn't have any roll in his from his washers- heims are offset and don't roll

Replaced it with my bumper.

So if I hack it out replace it with some sort of plate. For strength. Do I need to beef up my brackets to support a winch?

The stock brackets? Oh yeah. I wouldn't even try to use the stock brackets.

Yes
The brackets should run back into the steering box bolts.

Those 3 stock mounts will tear right out

I don't know if I want to build a 30 that much either... The whole WJ conversion or hi steer. I prolly will though eventually. Next Jeep gets a 44 and 9.

Haven't decided if I'm gonna do the wj knuckles or just run cross over from ruff stuff and truss the **** out of a 30

The WJ conversion was nice but I wouldn't do it again.

That's just another 4-500 bucks you could have spent on a better axle.

I have true highsteer now for half of what it cost to swap to WJ knuckles.

This is what I'm concerned with.

I think I would rather do a 44 9 out of a Ford to run 37's. The way I drive my Jeep will be ok on a built 30/8.25.

So... The 98 is paid off!

I think my 30 im gonna build will handle 37s when its done. Undecided if I plan on going to 37s or not though. I like 35s thus far.

I may just do the ruff stuff steering with 7/8th heims, full truss, gusset inner c's, go chromos (do they make higher spline count shafts for the 30), all new super joints, etc, etc.

They make 30 spline shafts but you have to buy a 30 spline locker to match it. Plus, I would stay as far away from non-standard size stuff as possible. When it breaks you'll HAVE to wait for a new one instead of popping in a trail spare.

I still think you'll regret polishing the **** out of a Dana 30. I did. Lost a lot of money on it. I had ~2k in my 30. Still broke shafts, rings and pinions on 35's (With chromos and 760's) Sold it for 900. Built the 44 for 1200.
