I love my XJ so I may keep it and then just a have a car payment for a little while again which would suck, however, it would be totally worth it. The only problem is aftermarket support isn't as large as it is for the XJ so parts cost a lot more. But low miles would be awesome. I'm taking a welding class at Columbus State next semester so I can learn to weld and make roof racks, bumpers, etc.

Yea, if you have 2ply sidewalls. Then bringing a spare is a must. Because there is always a chance you will run something through the sidewall.
I have an equivelent to 6ply sidewalls. And nothing is getting through the tire. But I still bring a spare because I have to drive back home, and its not worth the risk.
Tow points are great. I personally don't like hitches, they hang up everywhere. But its nice to have a tow point. At heiney farms there are not trails littered with monster mud holes. They are pretty nice trails. So getting burried is very, very rare. I think there are only a few mud holes on the whole property! There is mud, but just not in the form of a crater
And if you do not have tow points. Don't worry. We can still safely recover you IF you get hung up.
Unless you do something like this......

I don't know who this guy is, but he was not afraid of the skinny pedal with a stock xj.
And the narrator deserves an oscar. Very funny.

Really? Where? I commute to Springboro every day, the GC should get me in and out of 300' of driveway and to work in the winter, assuming I can afford the gas. That 23 gallon tank should be pretty good ballast.
I'll be passing through Lewisburg thursday night on Rt 40 on the way to Menards for barn lumber. I just fixed the exhaust on the Cummins so I shouldn't be setting off car alarms passing through town any more.

finally got a rear recovery point. then realized that with the tint i cant see very well out the back with the backup lights, so i mounted up a small set of 55w driving lights under the bumper and inline with the back up lights, which i realized don't work when i went into reverse. so wired them up to a switch, which is nice because i can then use them when camping for a little extra light.
anyway, who is planning on going to heiny farm the 26th? i talked to my manager today and may be able to get the weekend off for it!
