Use a sawzall

That's poopie! Wish I had my new springs, saggy as the old ones are they're still something, eh. it may be a few weeks but if you're still in need I'll hang on to them for ya.

On that note - talking bolts (in all situations):
Should I prepare myself and just get the new bolts or take my chances on the original? I mean, if I get all up in there and schit breaks, is my local NAPA going to have a drawer full of what I need??

Are you going for the stock ride-ish or lift? Let me know how many springs you come up with cuz if I can sneak my way out of replacing leaf springs, just to replace with full springs when I lift, I'm totally down with that! BUT how much pressure should I expect to place on my saggy main leaf? Hell, I may not be that bad off, I'm just paranoid I spose - maybe a little Jeep munchausen's by proxy.....

Depends on how much soaking with PB blaster. 90% of my bolts were threading out, 10% got seized to bushings. (leaf springs, shackles, trac bar) I would get whatever your gonna get into ahead of time. I already bought bolts for my springs. I'm expecting trouble.
Please hang on to the springs. I've had no time to get to a jy and if my truck don't sell soon, one of my jeeps is gonna get put up for a while. Probably the rig. My stock one only needs springs. My rig needs ubj lbj, bearings and axle u joints.

I've been soaking every bolt I can think to reach for the past few weeks, but that's not going to ensure anything other than me smelling like and tasting blaster until bow season starts.

I'll let you know when I get springy, maybe I fill the fridge fulla beer and get a hand yankin' em off, or fill a cooler and head north.
