New to forum, still looking for an XJ
Hey everybody!
My Cherokee story
The first car that I had after i got my license was my dad's 2000 Cherokee Limited. He had a commuter car and only drove the Cherokee on the weekends. He was running 30"ish tires on stock suspension (rub city)... Unfortunately he sold it and I ended up with a grand prix. After five years, and a few other cars, I want my own XJ.
My Search
I've been passively looking for an XJ for a few months now.
Pretty recently the transmission in my POS neon has started acting up, so I have to start actively looking. I need to get a new vehicle pretty quick but I can't seem to find a nice XJ in the area. I live in Highland, and work in Waterford Michigan. I don't mind driving a bit to find a nice one. So now I'm asking for help. If you know of an Xj for sale let me know
What I'm looking for
I'm looking for something close to stock. 4.0l, 4x4. It's gonna be a DD as well as my first light trail rig. I was planning on buying something stock, doing the RockLizard BB lift, and running 30"-31" tires, depending on if i want to retain the stock flares or not. I don't mind smaller lifts, but don't want bigger than 31" tires (yet). I have 6,000 to spend.
Hopefully I find something soon so I can become an active member of this forum, rather than just silently searching for info. I would love to find one before I go up north on the weekend of may 6th, I'm going up north with some friends to camp and wheel. They all drive new Wranglers, so my neon doesn't fit in.
Looking forward to making some friends here.

I'll get some picks up soon, started my first "mod" today. Painting the stock wheels black :-)
Actually not sure how to post a picture.
I will definitely wheel responsibly, it's my DD too. Can't afford to do anything bad.
