Chase works with me at mid west metals. He showed me a pic of your XJ earlier this week and I knew I recognized it, just didnt know who had it. Btw after Chet got your subi, a gas line broke in the engine bay. He ha to take a lot of crap out in order to get to it to fix it lol
Yea I know about the Subaru. He sent me a bunch of hate text about it. I honestly didn't know that the car had any issues when we traded. I got the car from a friend and drove it to work and back once a week. I owned it for 4 months, drove it maybe 16 times and traded it. I maybe put 500 miles on the car the whole time I owned it. If I knew it had something wrong with it I would have fixed it and I would have worked with him on fixing it but his attitude and disrespect got him nowhere in my book. I never once complained about the money and time I had to put into the Jeep to get it where it was safe to drive to work and back and put my fiancé's kids in it. So I'm not worried or going to lose any sleep over him having to work on a used car.

You any good with oils leaks? I've changed my oil filter adapter O rings and just did my valve cover gasket but its still leaking! I'm not sure if what to do. I don't think it my rear main but I'm not 100%. It looks as if its still leaking from the back of the valve cover

I have zero time to do anything. I live in a semi about 6 days a week. So I cherish the little time I get at home and working on just about anything is the last on my list. I have to do so much to our Jeep and I just don't want to do any of it. Lol. I will recommend a great shop that is fair on price and one of the guys is a master Jeep tech. It's muncie muffler on MLK "Broadway" next to Richards.. If I can't get something on my Jeep or our other car I take it there.

Important to torque the valve cover correctly and in the right sequence. Also did you use the felpro blue gasket? About the only thing left is the rear main and it's really very easy just a little time consuming if it's your first time.

I tightened every other one all the way around. Didnt have any kind of torque wrench so I just snugged them up and then out a little more on each one. And I used a Felpro blue gasket

Sounds like everything is good on that end! More than likely your rear main or oil pan, kill two birds with one stone and do the rear main! As cheap as they are buy two just in case. They like to get get screwed up at the last little bit going in really not at all hard, but grab a buddy for putting the oil pan back on, makes life easier when they can hold it and you sink the bolts back in. Good luck!

I think I called them about doing my exhaust but they said it was impossible to do 2.5" over the rear axle. Needless to say, I have 2.5" going over the rear axle. Lol

When they were down the road at the there old building they did full 3" on my first BMW and twin 2.5" on my third with a custom exhaust. They do great work you just have to go up there. Hell I trusted them with that car if that says anything. Even with it being lowered they took the time to get it up in the air to work on it.

On another note if anyone out there can recommend someone for windshield glass that does it for a good price I'm all ears… Gotta fix some rust under a windshield on a 98 I'm fixing up. The glass is already broken so a new, aftermarket, used, whatever replacement is in order!

Ha I wish!! That car killed my pockets!! It was ungodly reliable. I put 100,000 on it in two years. Other then normal maintenance, I never did anything to the car. I did a few scca, mid ohio, fun runs with the indyaudi guys, I beat the hell out of that car. The car payment sucked. $368 a month, I drove to Indy everyday so I put about 3,000 miles on a month. Oil chance for me to do it was $90. It got great fuel mileage, best I got was 30mpg. My Jeep not so much. Lol. When I was going in the Marines I put it online for sale. The guy test driving it tried to miss a deer went off the road and hit a telephone pole. Biggest hassle I've ever dealt with!! I had to pay $1500 after it was all said and done!! I won't let anyone drive my cars ever again!
