Don't second guess your purchase. If the XJ is going to see more road then trails. Run with it. If you plan on going higher and running more trails with it, then look into a SYE.

Why? If he has already ordered the Hack N Tap from IRO?

How many times do you plan on wheeling it?

a hack n tap will not last as long as a double Cardan SYE!! I don't spend half the money most do but when it come to these things I do. my drivetrain is probably one of the best drivetrains using all stock parts of an xj. from my 99 intake to my ported head to my new bottom end. from my hd trasn etc... I NEED these things but if I was to tell a new jeeper what to do I would NEVER recommend a HnT unless they didn't have the money then id tell them to wait

It also reduces your ground clearance, which is why hnt & sye is used. A t drop is like using duct tape for a permanent repair.
