Ugggh.... had a guy come over today to look at trading the Waggy for an XJ. He rolls up in a completely rotted out 91. It was smoking and dripping anti-freeze in my lot. The interior was thrashed and full of oil, anti-freeze and food containers. It smelled like cigarettes, wet dog and rotten food.
The guy looks over my Waggy and tells me he would trade his XJ and $1k to take it. He says he doesn't really want it, but needs something to pull his trailer so he can expand his landscaping business.
I told him that I would only give him $300 cash, as I didn't want to lose anymore money at the scrapyard after I cleaned his POS out.
He got pissed, slammed his door and rust chunks fell off. He tried tossing gravel with his bald tires... the only thing the Jeep did was backfire and lurch slowly into the road.
Morons, I tell you... Morons

found this '93 in the south side. seller listed for $2500 his bottom price is $1900. i got the money, but im being a jew right now trying to get the best deal. to be honest it's worth $2500, but im going to wait after thanksgiving cuz xmas is coming and waive my $1500 and see if he will fetch it. i tested drive it and it drive smooth. no grinding noises. xj originally from cali and no rust on bottom at all. 76k original miles. older white dude own it. new trans and t-case, c8.25, no leaks. the bad: coolant guage is not working. he changed the front temp sensor, but i think might be the back coolant temp sensor. steering wheel is little crooked but that no biggie i'll take to my buddy at pepboys and have him adjust it. well, i'll see what happen after thanksgiving. if he don't want my money i'll find another one.

If anyone is parting out a ZJ, I'm looking for a hatch. Would ultimately prefer it to be the stone white color, but painting it wouldn't be an issue. Good condition of course. Need to work on mine and want to see if it'll be worth the trouble if I could snag a cheap replacement.
I'm assuming the ZJ hatch is the same style across the board. If not, this is for a 98.

They apparently all fit, but there may be an issue with wiring. Let me know what you find. I'll see if I can fix my hatch as well, since I don't really want to mess with electrical wiring and possibly losing my ability to open the rear hatch glass lol.

BUT... the wiring harnesses are not plug and play. Early ZJ wiring is different than later ones. If you find the same the year hatch as the one you are trying to replace, then it should be plug and play.
