So was hoping to maybe find someone who's got a garage that's up to the challenge (I got my tool box). I'll provide the beers n pizza and some $$ for your time. Let me know, wouldn't be soon just saying hi and asking.
I'm about 1.5 hours from Madison. If that isn't too far then you can swing by and we can install some stuff. I just put a JCR winch bumper on my xj.

I'd prefer to do it in warmer weather since I froze my *** off doing it last weekend inside of a garage lol.

That's not to far at all!! How was putting on the JCR bumper? Looking at the same thing for front back and the sliders on mine.

It was easy. Broke one bolt while taking off the steering box so that slowed me down but other than that it went real smooth. Everything lined up perfect.

Okay so I broke down and got new tires. Well the mechanic tire installer said my ball joints and track bar were needing replacement. I am not going to pay over $1000 for someone else to do this.

Any recommendations for parts? What to go with? No I don't need rock crawling parts just need some as this is a daily driver mainly.

Also to those here nearby, want to help?

I replaced my front wheel hubs for like $60 each through rock auto. Have had them on for like a year now and no issues (knock on wood).

I'd just get the basic stuff from Napa or rock if you don't go too extreme on it. Maybe go one step above the cheapest.

I found a thread here titled "alignment" and there is a link there for Spicer Brand I think that were like $50 a set, one upper and one lower. Sound decent?

Any input on a track bar replacement option?

Not to be "that guy" or anything, but you'll probably get a LOT better (more) responses if you post this in the tech section instead of the WI thread, lol. The guys that read this thread are rather limited in number.

I know but there is something in hearing those closer. Instead of someone who maybe has never had their xj in snow, never had to deal with winters or even seasons like we have up here.

I do plan on posting this in the tech section as well when I am at a computer and not just mobile like I am now. That way I can search better and possibly find the answers without another thread.

Thank you though for pointing that out to me.

As far as the responses go, I Have been getting just fine responses here.

Went with your recommendation. Rock auto and the Dana Spicer kit of upper and lower together. Then I also ordered a Moog track bar.

A shame though they stick you with so much shipping coming from different warehouses.

What I do is gather up all the part numbers I need then check amazon and utilize their free shipping.

I did search for the best pricing and shipping combo and between them all it was rock auto. Amazon's best price was $14 more in the end...

4WD.com was better than Amazon as they were only $12 more than rock auto.

The parts are ordered now for some warmer weather when the parts get here and I am set.

I might be hitting the jy this weekend if it isn't too cold out. If anyone needs something or wants me to check for something shoot me a pm with how much you're willing to pay for the item or what item you want me to check for. Just don't flake out if I find the item because I'll be fronting the cash for it and I don't feel like taking losses on crap I possibly don't need. In other words, don't say you'll pay $x for an item then not pay me back for it.
