Hi my name is Josh and live in Guthrie, Ok and I just bought a 88 Xj and I need a Rear Driverside Axle Shaft for a Dana 35. This is my first build but to go further with my project Bone Collector the axle comes first. Auto Parts Warehouse and Speedy Car Parts are all out of stock. Both websites had it listed for $188 for a replacement axle kit. Is there another website I can go to or parts store in Okc I can get one?

 

First off welcome. I also have an 88 xj. As far as the axle shaft, Whats bad on it? U can always get a salvage one and have a new bearing pressed on. Again welcome to CF.

I was going to try and make it. Then Monday I started hearing a squeal from the passenger side tire area. So I thought I needed to change the hub probably since it has 200,000 on it. Then Tuesday I drove through some water and the squeal stopped and has never returned and now I’m not sure WTH the squeal was but it was faster and loader the faster I drove. I know it’s not the brakes and it’s only when moving so I will probably still replace the hub just cause of the mileage. Wed – Thursday I didn’t drive it thank god otherwise I would have been walking by today. So Friday a drive to Choteau and back I pulled in to park looked at the left front tire and it was damn near flat. Not one hole, slash, bash, or pinch to be seen. I’m pretty sure the tire just jumped off the rim and said f it I’m done. Needed to complain a little thanks.
