Move it about 2" lower than the base of the wench and about 1 1/2" min.to 4" away from grill.
So you can let it help with the clearance issue and heat disapation probs. You may have in the future!!
This how I feel, that it work best me! Then again what works 1,may not work for others?

P.s. do not for get an inline fuse for battery and electric protection!

He said it has cooling issues would the winch be the problem? I plan on putting it on my 92 as is so if i need to move it down some I will.

Yes but i am after the tranny, front fenders have been cut, one is caved in, rears are beat up and rusted, steering is loose, brakes are soft, engine has knock and overheats; but the lift has all the parts mine doesnt, drop pitman, adj drag link, heavy duty control arms, 32 x 11 offroad tires, winch and bumper, reciever hitch, new radiator,....... So i will get the money back np.

Now its time for some swapping!
