I need an expert, I need a mechanic who works on the cheap or someone to show me what I need to do after it is identified. I have had 3 mechanics look at it, and cant tell me definitively what it is and want 700 to fix.here is what I know. ok, extreme Motor knock, NOT a lifter, sparkplug, or exhaust gasket. it comes from the bottom-center of the motor. The jeep is out in brookfield, i live ITP near reliant, too afraid to drive it here.

 

drop the oilpan, might be oil pump, or you may be able to see some sort of marks from the bottom that could give an indication of the knocking(either on the oilpan or somewhere else)

 

Anyone on here live at the lake forest apartments in Atascocita tx? Have a Camo'ed 2 door xj? They put a card on my windshield but I lost it.

 

You ever get this looked at?

There's a jy by IAH where you could find one for cheap I have some hubs you may be able to return there for credit as well (i'm too lazy to drive out there for the 12 bucks lol). I'm putting in an aussie lockah up front, how are you likin ur front locker? when do you think you'll be ready to go wheel again?

 

Well the xj is sold loved that thing for everything it was.

Now im looking for a nice v8 cj. Or just a cj that i can swap in a 350 to. Anyone see one, let me know
