Also- Brazos Valley Off Road Ranch in Bryan is having a Saturday and Sunday outing this weekend with the Katy Chapter of TX4WD.ORG coming up.
What ever the sound is I don't think it is a stuck lifter. I pulled the valve cover and everything looked good. The rockers were tight and they all moved when the engine was cranked. So I put it all back toget and decided I'd run it till it blows. Then rebuild!

I had the same issue but it did not take me as long. I had to keep lifting the engine up, shake it, then lower it. It finally lined up after an hour or so.

For those on the south side of H-Town, my son went down to this spot last week. He said it was pretty good.

Might have to try that place out. I'm from that area and these northern parks don't offer much mud.

If anyone is interested in a very capable crawler or mudder

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f70/tx...rawler-162057/

I have fenders and the doors, am getting the front lights highway legal this weekend.
So after that it will be able to be registered if someone wanted to drive it on road.

His Titan was covered in mud. He has a 6" lift with 35s. Said it got pretty deep a few times but he did fine. His one issue was a hill that was slick mud all the way up. He made it about 3/4 the way up then slid back down. He did finally make it.

I know exactly what hill he's talking about.
Here's a Subaru Outback that thought he could make it. Lol

Yes. Out at San Luis Pass. That hole right there is much deeper than it looks from shore!!!!!

If you look at my build thread you can see what damage it caused.

Have any of you guys heard of this place. I guess it doesn't seem bad for a quick trip to test some upgrades. Its just south of Westpark near Dairy Ashford and Bissonet
