Ahh, I c, I call it a steering box. I've replaced mine before. In fact if u replace it, u might as well upgrade to the durango steering box, it's a direct replacement!

what bushings are you replacing? i don't think a spring compressor is needed for bushing replacement. if you are replacing the control arm bushings, just take off the control arms 1 side at a time (passenger then driver after passenger are back on) while having the wheels chocked. as for rear spring bushings, jack up the back of the rig, remove the tires, putjack stands on the body and lower the rear axle to take off the rear leaf springs.

Thanks for the info on the bushings and the video. I have the tie rod and they will be put on tomorrow. Still waiting on the bushings. I hope they make it here soon. If I get it aligned after installing the tie rods will replacing the bushing make it off again?

if it's the front control arms bushings, then no, actually, i don't know of any bushings that will require an alignment again, unless your bushings are soo worn out on your control arms, and track bar (tons of play), that it has your axle way out of position.

I need some help. I have replace most of my tie rods, but my steering has been upgrade and I'm not sure with what brand. I think maybe rusty's. The problem is that the tie rod ends for a stock setup are too small. I replaced the pitman arm tie rod which is at 22mm stud with left hand threads. Now on the tie rod connecting rod I have used a pitman arm tie rod of 22mm and left hand threads. I now need another of 22mm and right hand threads. I cant find on.

Disregard my last post I figured it out. It is a Rugged Ridge setup and I had to special order the tie rod ends.

that's why this forum is great, normally jeepers are nice and willing to help (of course there are some that feel only what they think counts, and they can be asses sometimes, but for the most part, everyone on here is very helpful!)
