i don't really wheel locally (it would just be mud & slop, i'm more into trails n climbs). no date set in stone yet, just sometime the week around Christmas (have family that wants to go and they will be in town for Christmas)

I just ordered my winch. I hope it will be here soon. As for the tie rod ends and bushings, they can wait. Running 33's on open 3.55 has me worried. I bought this thing like that and haven't upgraded yet. I have a stock Dana 44 for an 88 XJ, but it doesn't have the breaks on it.

Just freed up some cash and will putting tie rod ends On tomorrow. And plan to order the bushing kit too. I hope to have it all done this week. I've never replaced the bushing before but it doesn't seem hard. Ill just have to rent the spring compressor from autozone. Right?

Theres wheeling behind SAMS?
BVORR- go on Briarcrest/Villa Maria all the way out to 47. Turn right at flashing red.
Then at first cut over to the left (approx 1/2 mile) go across, and the gate is right there.

They wheel usually the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month for now.

As to Steering box
I have found the best price to be 138 at o'reilly. They never have one in store but you can order it on line and pick it up at the store no shipping and then return the core charge back there.
but I have found same part a remand one upward of 138$
I can not call around under down right now but I already add a steering box support, looks pretty easy if I were in better shape I would try to rebuild it.
