In Need of Some Local Help
So I've got my 99 XJ with D30/8.25 with the stock 3.55 gears in them. I've got 35s on and those aren't cutting it. I need to do a gear swap. I will be going to 4.88s.
I've never attempted a gear swap and I've looked up some guides and it looks pretty extensive. I was wondering if there's anybody near Olathe, KS (I'll drive up to an hour or maybe even to Manhattan) that will be able to assist me in a gear swap? Hopefully you have the tools because I don't.
If there's no one out there that can help I'll have to go to a shop because with something this important and expensive I don't want to do it wrong.

I did a 8.8 ford swap in the rear of mine which got me 4.10's, disc brakes, and limited slip. Then I had a shop regear the front to match. Does really good offroad. It was $700 to have them regear the front and $200 to put in the 8.8 myself. That is a good cheap easy route.
