Edit- but swapping in a whole 29 spline axle sounds way easier to me.

So you need, 29 spline
shafts
carrier
spiders w/shims
pin
bearings
then re-setup the diff. I honestly would rather do the brake line, 2 shock bolts, and 4 u bolts LOL but either will have the same outcome.

Yes you can put 29 spline shaft into a 27 housing, but you need the carrier, spider gears(locker) and shafts. the diff will need to be reset up with the carrier change. the 29 spline spider gears wont fit into the 27 spline carrier....

well I guess I need to pay more attention then, he is not locked then right?
if not then yes I would find a complete 29 spline and swap it out should take a hour or two.... if it goes good, but nothing ever does.

I'm sure we can all keep our eyes peeled for ya and if we see a 29 spline 8.25 we will let you know
Ksl is also a good choice but unless a buddy sell's you something its always cheaper to pull it yourself I will bring you my cordless sawzall and we can get one out in 25 minutes.
