anyone have know of any good scrap metal places around here? just kinda looking fro a place that I can scrounge up random pieces from. Apparently Wasach metal has a lot of cut-offs in varying lengths that they get rid of for a decent price...

ive gotten scrapes from carver sheet metal on 1349 Jefferson St in Salt Lake and their not badly priced either... speaking of that i need to head there to see if they have aluminum for my floor when i have to cut holes in it
as far as Farmington canyon, we've been going up Skyline drive in Bountiful (dirt road that goes from bountiful to farmington) the last two Friday nights. We pretty much just drive up till we get stuck, and then dig ourselves out and drive back. There's still a lot of snow but it's fun. We're probably going again this friday. We go pretty late, around 10, but it's fun to "wheel" at night.... Anyone's welcome to come!
bumpers/tire carrier, sliders, finish my steel fender flares, looks like new control arms are in order to help with droop (mine were binding on the shock mount, till I clearanced it (read cut that ****) and now they are binding on the LCA mount it'self...ghey). Various other suspension components, fix my hack job on the rear wheel wells... (really... DON't cut the pinch weld!)... you know, whatever comes up... I'm not a GREAT welder, but the advice I get from the people that I know that are is practice practice practice....

I didn't think Farmington Canyon opened up for a couple more months?!?

I dunno if it's the same as what you're talking about, but if you drive up by the "B" and take the road just below the access to the "B" you can drive from there to Farmington. I don't know the names of the canyons very well, but the guys I work will tell me the road is called Skyline drive, and that it goes through Farmington Canyon. whether it really does or not I couldn't say. There IS a lot of snow though, and we have fun.
And I haven't seen any access gates or anything, you can just kinda drive. There are usually a lot of dudes with snowmobiles up there too...

Hi everybody,
Just joined the forum, i am from Logan.
I just started a small Cherokee project with my son. I don't know anything, I am under-equipped and with an very very low budget (I am not even telling, that will make you laugh).
Anyway, i am willing to learn so I can do little things to get this Cherokee back on the road .... and maybe back on the off road.
I started by a basic tune up.... Easy maybe but until 2 weeks ago I had never touched an engine.... (I left the fuel filter change for later though).
Now I am working on fixing a bit of the electrical. I guess I need to change the neg cable of the battery (because it looks like the wires are exposed and from what i read, it could be responsible for bad ground and maybe some of the things that are not working well).
Trying also to fight some seized bolts to remove some skid plates to better access etc...
When time come, brakes and maybe try to get the wondows to work
Anyway, i am not going to tell you my life either lol....
I can take any advice that is free
and will definitely need a lot of help.
So cheers Northern Utah People, hopefully one of these day, i will see you on one of our beautiful trail....
