i felt the same way till i saw the light!
i learned to drive on a manual, in fact out of sixteen vehicles only 4 have been autos. my dd acura is a 6 spd manual for heavens sake! my old xjuggy was even a manual... gasp!
now that i have a 4speed auto with switches for the gears i have not missed my manual for a second and that suprised me to be honest, but it's true.
4 cylinder jeeps and especially toyotas (sorry camel) aren't allowed in this conversation lol sorry

lol i bet if 3 could get 1 on his side they would own 2,4 & 5... after all they are more powerful and 5 is kind of a *****.
on a separate note i have 4,3,2,1. granted the jeep does a decent job picking gears but the drop from 2-1 and the whole 5k rpm shift from 1-2 can get irritating. a couple switches and a half hour later, problem solved

yeah but you still have 80 hp (at sea level)
i'm just cracking your *****, i like yotas. i had a 4cyl and low gears in my old ride and it was sweet but very different from a 6cyl with higher gears. sometimes wheel speed is necessary. but like anything else there are pro's and con's big time

Though LC Engineering rebuilt the motor in my Toyota. And I got the turbo tranny too. I keep finding out more about my rig. My friends know more about it then I do. Since I was on the road, I didn't get to see it built or really get to know the builder. The guy who built it is a Toyota mechanic and knows his stuff. A good friend to one of my friends, I really don't know him. Just one of those "Hey so and so is selling his rig for cheap. You should buy it" Lol. I did
and alot of people were mad cause they wanted it.
And I upgraded for a samurai. It was a big jump for me lol
