so i had a once in a lifetime opportunity this weekend, so i took it

wendovers ww2 airfield i had no idea that was even there let alone the significant part it played in ww2 and role it had helping end the war.
then after went over to gold hill then camped in the deep creeks and wandered home the scenic way.

Better cooling system cools your jeep a lot better than the open system. You fill it through the radiator too.

I'd have to say tho the other system never even got off like 180 max I don't know if it was just bypass some but never got hot and the heater didn't work like no t sat but there was one in there

yeah it did, they still didn't understand completely but they will work lol.

With the pressure cap on the radiator, and a non pressurized overflow. the other style is lame, and a Chevy thing LOL

you have it backwards then, thats an "open" system. if you deleted your pressure bottle and acquired a radiator cap then you removed the closed system.

which is why i was confused as to why anyone would want to convert to the closed system.

Oh yes probably. I never worried to much on cooling with my jeep since it's a 91 and has the open system.

I bought a radiator from a 94 (picked a random year) and took out both the line splitters, bought some 5/8ths heater core hose and replaced the existing ones and never looked back

Damn I didn't even think about that I got a 96 I have for parts and a 90 for parts I should have just took the one from the 96 :-( Maybe another day
