Jr.,

let me know when you tackle the SYE, I might be interested in lending a hand to see how it's done in case I end up going that route.

Right now everything on my rear end runs just fine, but might be something to upgrade later.

Well when that time comes we can set up the carrier at the house so its cheaper then a shop doing it since ill know What I'm doing. Plus the more I do they the better I know what I did wrong if something happens.

Fabrication Shop ABQ
So eventually here, I am going to be looking to get some custom fab work done for my XJ. Specifically, I am going to want a Transfer Case full skid, (rail to rail, sooner than later, actually, and can't jus order the JCR full TC skid, as I am about to install the Detours stiffeners/sliders, and the JCR won't fit), and farther down the line, I'm looking at putting in a roll cage (probably a hybrid, to maintain some head room).

So the question is, is there a quality fab shop in Albuquerque to do the work? Or is there someone in the community that does professional quality work that would be willing to take on something like either of these as side projects (for payment of, course)?

Any thoughts are appreciated?

The jcr t case should fit you don't have to used the side mounting but if your going to do that might as well do the iron rock t case clocking for a flat belly pan, then can do whatever mounting you wish. As for Fab work there is a shop on northern and under area that's does some pretty good work cages etc. Or you ask Kelly he does Fab work on the side and knows his stuff pretty good also.

WTB - OX Locker for Dana 30, 4.56 and 27 spline
Looking for a cable-shifted 27 spline OX locker for Dana 30, 4.56 gearing (so 3.73 & up).

Will pay you to ship it to me. Would love to have something in the next month or so as gearing up to beef up the front end.

If you've got one, or know someone that does, PM me.

Thanks!

(I already posted in the For Sale forum, just trying to get some more traffic!)

I thought that ox was cable activated not electric? There is a arb locker for the 30 on Craigslist for 500 that's another choice. Yes you'll have plum it for air but can convert your ac into an compressor. But on the plus side you'll have oba.

Yeah, cable is what I meant. I don't want an air one.

I've heard too many horror stories of ARB's and their air leaks.

I'm just about to head out to the garage an install a compressor (Viair 400H), which I could use if it came to it, but I'd prefer a cable controlled.

There's a 30 spline available up in Portland on Craigslist for $500, but I'm not made of money, and I'd rather just go down to the JY and pull 27 spline axleshafts than BUY both a running set and a spare set.

Either that or lock outs and a spool it's even more expensive but if something fails, you have two options replace the hub if that breaks or pull the shafts out and drive home it 2wd.
