How were you planning on doing the hinges for a 97+ xj? I want to do half doors but I'm sketchy about the hinges

I'll have to hit you up when I get some jeep money. I blew an engine on my other car this week so I'm dried up at the moment.

I just got a good look at some half doors and hinges while on travel this past week. Slice and dice of the hinge is easy but removing the pins can be a pain. If the pins don't tap out easy then build a custom press out of a c-clamp.

New pins use 1/4" round stock turned on a lathe finishing and rounding the tops. Rounding the tops off makes it so you can take the doors on and off easier. Fix the new pins to the Jeep via side roll pin or weld from the bottom. Your choice, but I like the side roll pin as it turns out cleaner. The stop is also easy to replace with a clip pin for easy removal.

Haha my only real concern is my speakers. I wanna re mount them maybe a second sound bar. Other than that ill be okay with just feeding the existing connectors in and out.

I just want front half doors so I still want the connectors in the half doors for the rear windows and such plus keeping speakers in the half doors

I might go tube doors but I dought it. Half doors seem like more work than what theyre worht. Probably just go completely doorless and have locks on everything inside
