Here is one of the better write ups I have found for a Aussie/Lokka locker in the front D30. (which imo is the better place for an auto on a DD rig or really any rig with just one locker and 33s or less)

Thanks for your offer! I would be more than willing to make the drive next Saturday if there is a convenient time for you.

They are all supposed to be simple with the Spartan being the easiest. Desert rat threw it in for me when they were doing my gears. The cost to get the gears done was over 800.00 and I supplied everything that was just the labor. 4WD parts wanted 1,500.00 for the labor. I got my locker from a site called Broncoboneyard.com.

That's the easy part. Regearing is where it gets complicated and expensive. I wouldn't for 31's. I probably won't for 33's at least not for a good while.

Okay, I do think I need a transfercase drop kit, it vibrates a bit, and a new tranny Mount

Almost there are two studs and two bolts. Bolts bla bla come out easy but the studs take a bit more work sometimes. You can use the two nut method or vise grips work for some. Hit them with PB and it really should not be that hard.
