steel rim or aluminum doesnt matter tires can be anything from a 31 to a 35 and doesnt have to have much tread just a spare for a little safety

well if I were you. if this was your dd and you only means for transportation I would do this:

baby I need a ride to ___________. and make here give you rides all over the ****'n place. repete this until she begs you to get it fixed.. (should only take a couple weeks tops)
