Mine decided it was gonna crap out the #3,4 and 5 cylinders. Don't have the time or the money to tear it down and rebuild and besides, at over 200k it would need a whole lot more than piston and cylinder work to do it right. Looking for a decent used and running motor I can just bolt in and drive.

If I can't find one, then I have a 99 XJ with everything in decent shape except the motor. I'd part it out.

Sucks because it was my commuter and hunting rig. Just when diesel hits the highest prices ever. I can't afford this.

I know a guy in Flagstaff, Arizona with one but that's pretty far for you to go. You don't have to stay with strictly 99.

No big deal to cross years. Just use your intake, exhaust, dizzy, flexplate/flywheel etc. What's a smokin' deal?

Something to make it worthwhile to drive to AZ with a diesel truck. This Jeep was my commuter and money saver. Driving my pickup is gonna break me
