Default Lift kit install help! Boulder area

Hello XJ people! I have had my XJ for almost a year now and the only things I have done to it are tint windows and buy some soft 8s on craigslist. My ride takes on the rockies pretty darn well stock but I wouldn't mind getting a little more clearance so I don't have to worry all the time about catching my belly on rocks.

I am ready to order and install a RE super ride 3.5" lift. I don't have any experience with suspensions and would be happy to pay and supply plentiful beer to anyone willing to oversee my lift install. I live in Boulder but could come to Denver area or within an hour or so. I am just planning on the RE super ride kit, an adjustable track bar, and a 1" transfer case drop, hopefully that is enough to eliminate any of these vibes I've been reading about.

As soon as I feel confident that I will be able to install the lift I will order it, so maybe in two weekends (Aug 24/25) I could be ready to go. I don't have a floor jack or jack stands so if anyone could also supply that that would be optimal or else I can buy some stands and use my little underseat jack. Many thanks! get at me here or 3o3-81nine-4663.

Hey guys thanks a ton for your offers, my plans have actually changed. I was planning on running my studded snow tires with the 3.5" for the winter but after seeing pics of 235/75/15s on that 3.5" lift I just can't bring myself to go through with that. I may wait til summer or just go with a little 2" BB.

So what's Boulder like? I've been contemplating going to the university there. I'm from Florida.

Born and raised here lots of yuppies, Californians, bad drivers, expensive food/ living, a lot to do close to trails good jeep community. All in all it's a great place if you can put up with the bubble this town is.

Californians are bad drivers so those two kind of go hand in hand. Is a yuppie a non-derogatory term for a hippy or tree-hugger?

Yea ive lived in boulder since I was 6 mo. old. You will learn what a yuppie is real fast. Tiedye + birkenstocks + audi. If you like to ski or board or climb or hike or basically do any outdoor activity Boulder is a prime location. Traffic on I70, the main highway up to the mountains just seems to get worse and worse but yea I'd say do it. Except move here and get residency before going to school it will save you like 30k.

That was my intention. I have to live there for a year though don't I? I've looked into Tennessee, Alabama, Cali and Washington. They were all also one year residency required to qualify for in-state.

yea I think that's the deal. Sounds like you've got it figured out. Anyways, thanks to everyone who offered to help, I ended up installing a 2.5" budget boost I found on craigslist and the guy who sold it to me helped install.
I finally got my rock sliders and bumper on, then I bought some new 31x10.5 duratracs. Now I'm poor. haha but I love my XJ.
