I think you could possibly replace the crank without pulling the engine but it would involve dropping the transmission. Either way, something is getting pulled and it’s not me.

Sorry to hear that Bill. Didn't you put an engine in it recently? Last year?

January 2010, I had the head redone, replaced the lifters and push rods, instailed an over size oil pump and replaced 3 pistons and all rings. I had a very, very bad case of blow-by. Probably should have done the whole thing but did not have a garage, it was in January and I did not feel like pulling the engine. Up Until last weekend, it ran strong with zero blow-by.

sooooo, i came home from work yesterday and went to my back yard to say hello to my two wonderful dogs. when i rounded the corner, i saw what looked like a fox with my dogs, so i started to panic.

well, turned out to be a shiba inu......pretty much a mini akita if you dont know what it is.

so question is.......how the f did he get there? who does he belong to?

poor thing had no tags, so i ran him up to the vet to see if he is chipped......no dice.

so now i am stuck with this cute little dog, trying to find his home.

im still trying to figure out how he got in my yard. this is the second dog i have found in my yard playing with my dogs. apparently my dogs are well known around here......

trying to work on the jeep today!!!! wish me luck!!!

Put out a Craigslist ad, let the humane society know you found a dog, make some fliers if you have the time. Could be an irresponsible owner or just a spot of bad luck, but I know it'd rattle my if my dog disappeared :-/

did all of what you said. put up signs last night and put an ad on craigslist.

searched for missing shiba inus on the list and found one in littleton close to where i live. come to find out, the little dude only lives 5 houses from me.

got him back to his owner this morning.

i would die if i lost one of my dogs......they are my kids and go every where with me

i would want someone to do the same for me, ya know?

went and bought some parts from the love hampster out at truckfest yesterday.

so now my jeep is out of the garage!!!!!

just have to do the sye, rear brake line, and fab some high clearance rear shock mounts and a driveway alignment today.

just gotta build some sliders and i will take her out for a test run.

the jeepspeed cherokee at truckfest is prob one of my favorite cherokees ever!!! every year i see it there, and every year i go thru it with a fine tooth comb. just soooo much functon built into every part of that xj. not to mention the $5k in LED fog light bars!!!!!

morning fcers, im off to the garage.

so i drove my jeep today!!!!! sye and junk is done.

just need to install rear brake line and bleed my brakes....and a driveway alignment.

i was pulling out for a test drive and low and behold, i almost ran over a dog at the end of my driveway!! the same one i just returned!!!

apparently she didnt catch my drift that the vet said he was malnurished and i couldnt stress enough that she needed to get tags or a chip!!!!!

so, she will be dealing with the law this time getting her dog back. these kind of people have no business owning dogs or making babies!!!!

rant over..............MY JEEP DRIVES!!!!!!!

it is a shame. he seems to be a good dog. i'd keep him, but i already have two big dogs with a ton of energy.

here is a pic of my jeep progress. kinda sexy if i do say so myself.
