Jenny would have way more water, and less traffic. I think it's kinda cool up there too, and you can camp on Rollins Pass road, and run JC up and back as much as you want, then be right at camp. Keep an eye on Bushducks.com, they have pretty good updates on trail status, way better than trail damage...JC is a cool little trail for sure!!

Yeah, i don't use TD much anymore lol.

I ran JC last year and it was an awesome trail. I saw some camping set up about in the middle of the trail, so maybe.. China Wall was awesome last year, but wanted to run a little harder trail this year. End of July, I'm taking my own family and some aunts/uncles, so will probably take them to CW since it's a little tamer.

Any good camping at Eagle Rock? Jenny Creek? Would prefer someting near a stream.
Beaver creek road is a great spot. Not very crowded and easy trail and it's a mile from the trailheads of Hall valley, Webster pass, and redcone.

Didn't work monday, but somehow I have worked 28 hrs this week and I'm back at it now. Over worked and under paid....60+ hour weeks are taking away from my time to get the jeep finished.

San diego, a whales bacon.

I am a super busy guy! All I do is work, then when I'm off work I do side work or work on my jeeps. Did I say work enough?

Life is crazy right now. Thank god I am going on vacation in a week and a half!!!!!

I did get my track bar and drop brkt installed last night. Gonna try to get a cv d-shaft from the jy so I can do my sye. Then I just need front shocks and extended brake lines to have this pig rollin. Also gonna look for a v8 zj tie rod.

Not much left, just have to find some spare time. Hahaha....right..........

Late

A bad day wheeling is still better than work.

I went wheeling around Monarch Pass last weekend and cooked my engine, very loud knock out of the bottom end around cylinder #5 or #6. Pulled the pan and it had a very small amount of what looks like bearing filings in it. Everything else looks tight.

Now do I rebuild the engine, replace the engine or buy a new platform and move parts….. Things to think about.

Check the compression, and if it's still in spec, rebuild the lower end. New/re-manned crank, and a main and rod bearing kit, you'll be back on the road...

Sounds like a good plan, I'll check it when I get back from Montana. I just wish I could replace the crank without pulling the engine.

So, I take it you know that it can't be done?? I have never done it, but It seems that there would be room, but I'm wondering about the flywheel, and if it would clear...either way, I bet your compression is still good!
