xj still not fixed.. replaced coil, cps, and still nothing..

went to jy to look for solenoids, and nothing but small streams. was going to order them new, but looks like maybe, possibly, the bad shifting and rough idling could be related. bad tps, bad tcm...

anyone have any ideas on how to test those out? don't want to buy more un-needed parts lol..

I re-welded my T-case skid plate. I broke almost all the welds from constant bashing for the last 9 months and the last trip to Chinaman. This was the first welding I have done and I started off sucking bad and by the end I felt pretty good about my welds and so did my buddy that was teaching me. Had to modify how this thing attached to the f in unibody. Added a piece of 1/4 thick angle iron bolted through the unibody and then tapped and threaded the 1/4 and bolted the skid to that instead of just threading the unibody. It came out way stronger than before. I don't think I will be able to tear it off now.

The plan was to get something a little nicer, and better to drive on-road. Hence why I was going zj. This xj is A LOT nicer inside than my old one. Just wish I could drive it to enjoy it lol!!
