I looked it up on all data and it said they switched the spec to 75w-90 for better fuel mileage, I was also researching it online and everyone said that in cold climates 80w-90 would sludge up when it's cold. Ill probably use it though cause I don't wanna run up my bill at my shop too high
a friend and I took the RC crawlers to a trail by horsetooth today. too broke to wheel the real XJ even if I had it ready for the trail lol, but recharging a battery is about 99.9% cheaper than a tank of fuel and the RC is fun since the most dangerous part of rolling it is catching a steel bumper to the foot
And the Ford's bumper is not supposed to be like that, the hoops are supposed to be around the lights. It may or may not have gone nose first off a cliff shortly before this and that bumper is now mostly destroyed

Sweet article in today's Coloradoan Xplore section about wheeling! Best part is it talks about wheelers not being dicks and ruining open space areas! Score one for us against the eco-mentalists
After a while of convincing I finally convinced my buddy to pick up an XJ. 86 with a 2.5 and a 5 speed for 600 bucks. After owning it for one day we already cut the fenders and pulled the sway bars.

Pulled both away bars? Disconnecting my front sway bar scares me when driving on the road

My honest opinion, going totally swayless is too dangerous. I want to know my Jeep won't flip if I have to swerve to avoid a wreck. Besides I drive Raider like a freaking sports car, these XJs handle so well even lifted lol.

I'm on full widths and 35s with no sways front or rear. I don't have that much body roll either. But that's cause it's so wide!! But I ran my stock axles one 33s with no sways and you have body roll but I don't think you would actually roll. You'd have to be going pretty fast and make a sharp turn! Haha
