I have a Durango box in my XJ. It was installed the same time as my Currie steering & I must say it's night & day.The steering is tight and pretty responsive. I might have lost some steering radius, but I'm not sure because we didn't do any measurements before the swap. Unfortunately I can't give feedback as to the effects of the D box alone since other mods were done at the same time.

Either way, there have been no noticeable adverse effects. I don't regret having it done and if the box fails I'm getting another.

What do you have to do to the durango box? or is it just a direct swap?

The box wasn't modified in any way, but I've read about guys modifying theirs to maintain turning radius. There's a very good write-up on NAXJA.
