Todays lesson learned ...when trying to cut American made steel don't use cheap ***** made step drill bits ...lol...I had 4 9/16th boles in some 3/16th shock tabs I wanted to open up to 5/8th so I drive over to HOBO FREIGHT 'n Tool and buy 7 "Tianium Nitride " coated step drill bits , and finally after 6 hours I'm almost done with the 4th hole , but I'm goibng to finish with a real bit tomorrow which should take about 30 seconds ...lol...the rotary rasps I bought at ACE would have been quicker than these , and what I have after 6 hours and almnost finishing 4 holes is 7 completely baby smooth bits I mean maybe I'm unaware that the bracket tabs I bought from High Country are some special alloy heat treated 4340 or 300m and not just basic mild steel , but I doubt that , so these bits can't even enlarge a hole by 1/16th ...lol...no wait 7 of these cheap Chinesse bits can't ...I broke my rule of buying nothing more than tape and items like a hammer from the Hobo and it cost me day to do 10 minutes worth of work ...F'---you HOBO-FREIGHT F'---you ...LOL

Turned on the radio early this week and quickly cut to pre-recorded music since as soon as I put on 106.7 I was sickened with the POP music sounds of Imagine Dragons by Radioactive ... then David Bowie and Queen , oh well on my way back into Colorado I decided to try it again and I got 1 good song in and then they put on that *** DR.Drew with his sleep walk show loveline , and once again quickly cut to pre-recorded music ... I think they need to just call their station ...the other 93.3 ...lol

I get mine from my welding shop. High plains welding. they have some good Coblat steel stuff. Little oil when you cut and slow the speed. Im on about 50 + holes with my 1/2" and I can drill anything very fast.

If 94.3 has a signal way down there listen to them. best station in Colorado, its basically what 106.7 was five years ago.

Hey y'all, I need to pick everyone's brain real quick.
I live in south longmont and want to take a very special young lady up to do some star gazing and pop that will you be my gf question. I'm horrible at the romantic stuff...but I need a good spot to drive up to. An overlook or easily reachable clearing in the backwoods to park our butts on the hood and hang out.
Who knows of a good spot? I saw a decent turn off on 72 between Ward and Nederland, but I'm not sure if its the best spot.
Requirements: must be legal to park there, clear shot of the sky with limited city lights (unless it's an overlook of the foothills), and I can get there with a stock XJ.
Thanks everyone!
