LOL... I know the feeling.... What engine tranny tcase combo you going to run? The 304 has been ok for me but I am stepping up to a 401 that will eventually be blown... Goal is about 500HP.... running that into a T18 (6.9:1) then 205 doubler(2.67:1) into a D300 (4:1) then out to 4.88's..... I think Im gonna break something with all that torque!!
What axle combo you going to run? You should do a front 9 Inch with D60 hubs and outers... Be a nice axle.

Good. Should have it done tonight.
Prob a tuned port 350, th400, and a stak d300(4to1)......to 4.56s. A doubler would just confuse me if I decide to race! Haha
Prob a chev D60, and "13" bolt out back. Gonna run a steering box with hydro assist to keep it streetable. Thinkin 50s flat fender as a base.(hood, grill, title, and vins)
Gonna keep it low so The LP chev d60 should be fine.
Rollin on 40 inch meats.
Maybe 5-7k total?
My buddy has a built 401 that was in his waggy for sale if your interested. He stole all the parts and put em under an xj.

Question, since i don't know jacks*** about brakes...
Should i be worried about anything in this picture? lol.
The pads look fine for now to me, but it seems like they are rubbing on the rotors constantly.

Nope, just seemed to be a little drag in it when i turned the rotors by hand, might have been the axle/diff though. I had to laugh at myself though, when was checking the drum brakes i couldn't get the drums off. Guess why.

That's normal the pads sit right on top of the rotors, if they were any further from the rotors than that you would have to apply quite the force to stop the car!! They self-adjust to that position and that is correct there should be a miniscule amount of contact with the rotors and the pads.
