I'm gonna build my steering soon with 1.5" DOM and go OTK. i have the option of 3/4 heims with standard misalignment spacers or the option of high misalignment spacers. what is the purpose of the spacers and what do i need? hoping Dustin will answer this at 5 in the morning :P

High miss spacers go inside the heims bolt hole and allow for more ball rotation for more bind free movement/greater range of motion ...and since they go inside that hole they also reduce the space in there dropping your 3/4 inch bolt down to 1/2 so you need a 1-inch to keep the 3/4...But you don't need high miss spacers standard will work...I have standard spacers on my heims...

I'm at the top of the 4wp RTI ramp and can drive off it without ever lifting a tire ...I have 45 inches of 1-wheel travel 16 travel shock up front 11 down 5-up ...no bind ...they come close , But I'll never need/use more travel than this infact I don't use this travel on trail .

You just putting the heims on the knuckles? If so you probably don't need any of them. My drag link has a heim on the axle side, it needed high misalignment spacers due to the angle that it sits.

I use high misalignment spacers on both sides of the Drag link, and no spacers on the tie-rod.
They are used to prevent premature binding of the hiems.
