Does anyone have any good ideas on how to mount a large flag to an XJ with stock bumpers and stuff and wouldn't require any cutting/welding or things of the sort? I wanna get a big *** American flag for 9/11 but I have no idea how to mount it and I don't want those little tiny flags that have a plastic stick that you put at the top of the door lol.

without cutting or welding i'd say a clamp to the roof rail or attach to a receiver hitch .

I thought of the hitch but then I was like *FACEPALM* I don't have a receiver....

What kind of clamp would I use for that?

no idea what would fit that rail that's easily available to hold a flag while driving much less a big one ...i guess you could just hold the flag out the window while driving if the weather forecast is good for 9/11 ...a clamp like we use on the big trucks to mount big cb antenna may wory on that rail and able mount a flag to it .

Might also be able to find a way to superman cape it off the rear roof rack (if you've got one) I was going to try and find a way

Quote: Ok fabricators, feel free to help me out here. I have a lincoln 125HD running flux core. I build bumpers and racks and other fun stuff, but their strength isn't extremely important. However I'm thinking about building a mid arm setup. My welder seems pretty dam hot on setting E. would it be good enough for building my link setup and possible welding on the axle? Maybe run very slow or multi-pass
I vote, dont do it!....That machine just isnt up to the task.

If your set on using it, I would only use it to build mounts, and gusset them heavily. On your arms, I would have the material machined to accept your joints.(no bungs)

I used my old Lincold 145HD to build a long arm set-up, and I was worried the entire time I drove that Jeep! You dont want that!!!

Thats my opinion.......

Thanks Dustin. Also anybody know where I should start to fix my driver side parking light? The turn signal works and the parking light only rarely works
