Didn't know they had a climbing team haha that's cool! Pretty new to the whole climbing scene though...I've gone to gyms before and gone outdoors but don't really know anyone around here that likes climbing enough to go. I don't have rope either haha, stuff is expensive.

Most don't notice a big difference in mpg but idle smooths out and throttle response improves.. The 784's are for 98-01 and some late 97's

 

I installed some 703s from a neon along with a bored TB and it made my jeep purrrr, it's a fun upgrade.

 

Hmmmmmmm, devilishly tempting.... If I'm being honest I don't know if I'm quite "ready" for that yet. I'm sure I'd be fine, especially with experienced people, but my extent of climbing has ONLY been gym bouldering, top rope, sport and lead up to this point. I have 2 pairs of shoes, a harness, some beaners, ATC, and a v1 grigri, so my gear collection's lacking. I'm hoping to work a lot this summer so the trips will probably be limited to bacon express and some weekends camping, which I'm fine with. My current situation has limiting logistics like $$, how to get out there, $$, time off work, $$, etc. etc. lol. If you have details, I'd like to hear (just send me one PM from the sportbike thread and here and such). I'm always considering trips but I dunno if I'm going to be ready or willing to hit Zion and or Moab. Though I'm immensely jealous and who knows, it MAY happen haha...
New is just fine man, see my comment above, I have been climbing about 2 years on and off cause of injury and I still haven't gone outside even to do any bouldering. I'm a gym rat. Depending on my strength when I return, we might be on par, and I can try to help you train and develop what kind of climbing you enjoy. And if I can't help, I'm sure I know at least a few people who probably can. As for the "team," I consider us a team but the school doesn't, YET. A handful of CSU climbers, myself included, decided CSU needed a team (last school in the state to organize one), so we set it up. We're a "student organization" right now because we have to technically be a student org for a year before we can make a presentation to the school to become a "team." If we become a team (which shouldn't be an issue) then we'll get school funding for tournament entry fees, CCS dues, travel expenses, etc. etc. Compared to other "teams," our costs are pretty low. Right now we collect dues and do some fundraising to try and pay for most of what we do. I don't have rope either, but I know some people who do lol... CSU also rents out pretty much anything and everything at very fair prices. We'll have to meet up and climb carter or horsetooth and what not when things mellow out.
Alright thanks, I have a 2000 and it seems to run fine. I suspect I have some heat soak issues and some minor searching revealed the 2000 is prone to heat soak issues. I may hit you up still though, right now I'm swamped with school work. I'll try to check back tomorrow

 

Didn't know CSU had a climbing team will have to check it out. Been going to the wall a few times aweek, although gonna be out for a while with injury also. Is there any climbing off some of the trails up here? Would be fun to do a wheeling/climbing day trip or weekend

 

I don't know if there's any official places to climb that require some wheeling to get to just cause they try to make it accessible to many, so parking close / hiking is usually all that's needed. However, the aforementioned Bald Mountain trail, when I spit out at the top there was a huge clearing with some big rock outcrops, I remember wishing I had some shoes. Not large enough to need ropes, but if I remember, it would have been fun bouldering. I haven't been to the wall here in like 2+ months if your interested in joining I can give you info or if you see a guy named Nick working at the wall, he's our president and can fill you in.

 

Looking at the traildamage for Bald Mountain it looks like there would be some good bouldering. It would prolly be next semester, but Id be interested in joining. Nick is normally working there when I go I can talk to him and get some info when Im able to start climbing again.

 

I am lacking a chalk bag haha....I got a harness, shoes, locking and non locking biners...hell even got some hexes

His bags are on par or slightly higher than all the rest, but his are really really well made, sturdy, easy to use, etc. etc. He thought em through.
