I took a cutting disk to my hood yesterday. Cut in four 2 inch vents on each side.I did an ok job of cutting I believe but I will be burning in some extra sheet in a couple places then prime it for Monsta liner Should I run a drip pan or does everyone think Ill survive without one. I really only mud everyonce in a while and as far as water crossings are concerned I dont foward watter taller than my 35's anyways

I had a couple good sized vents in my hood and never had a problem without drip pans. Just grab a tube of dialectric grease and put it on each and every electrical connection under and right around the vents. Especially the distributor if there is a vent near it.
