Anyone free today or tomorrow that has cut and folded their fenders before? I'll provide food and drinks if you can help. My only problem is my apartment frowns on cutting the vehicle in my driveway with sparks flying and all so I kinda need a place to do the cutting part. Also I could use someone's help who knows what they are doing.

 

I've cut and folded mine. I'm in CA right now but I will be back in CO on around the 4th? If you're doing it now feel free to ask any questions. Pretty easy process

 

Anyone ride moto trails? Picking up a bike from a friend and looking to get in some trails before winter sets in. Something mild as I'm not very experienced!

 

Anyone need a set of upper control arm bushings? I have a free set, brand new.

Anywhere up by blackhawk or rampart range. Good stuff to get started on around those areas.

 

If pueblo motorsports park is still open I'd go there. All kinds of wide open space for you to ride and you can make it as hard as you want it. Although last I heard this was a few years ago before I sold my bike they shut down a lot of that area. It used to be miles and miles of trails. Its off that second exit in pueblo iirc.

 

Ran carnage canyon And i'd have to say grooved and siped boggers with only 30% middle tread do very well ,and I'd run them again...lol...My XJ only needed a cable on the same Two obstacle the guys running the best tires need a winch on ...1st winch comming out of the pond water onto the waterfall ledges and the exit , which I would have liked to have had time to work that exit instead of just going straigh over with the cable ,But due to the issues Danny's rig had with many custom parts faillure it was 10-pm before we got to the exit and that was with leaving a rig behind leaving my rig as the only rig to roll out in ,and I managed to snap my trackbar bracket somewhere leaving me with only ram steering at full lock ,so I was not going to play hard on it ,but i've seen folks struggle to go over even with a cable , So should a good deal on Boggers come up you'll see them on the xj again with generous grooving & siping b/c they do pretty good after modified ...lol...Now I just need to see them Boggers take penrose .

 

THanks for the dirt bike tips. I'll probably hit up the track a few times too. I went to the IMI spot up on I-25 and it was fun. I suck on that thing. Hopefully my XJ can handle carrying it around on a tray rack off my receiver, ha ha!

 

Pueblo also has a track. It's pretty neat. There is also Watkins and berthoud

 

Berthoud is where I actually went. My buddy took me who I'm buying the bike off of. Pretty cool place. I was getting passed by a lot of 6 year old girls, and everyone else

 

I use a receiver set up on my wife's JK and it works great! My XJ is just to tall to load the bike on.
My son and I are going to Rampart on Sunday Sept 7 if you would like to go with us. The more the merrier.

 

Hey fellas , first time posting but have been reading yours threads for awhile , haven't really had anything to chime in about, but you all sound like good jeep people!!! I live in commerce city (please don't laugh not my choice the wife has family here) me and my neighbor had issues about a year ago with people breaking into our jeeps, tried to steal mine ( by jamming a screwdriver into the ignition) didn't work for them ( only in the movies) but everything has been calm no problems for about a year until today a shady *** character came up to my door an asked if I still wanted a key made for my jeep, I went ballistic an went off on him an called the cops!!! Case n point I was wondering if any of you know of a good extra security measure besides the alarm I have already installed if a kill switch is worth it or any other means of added protection?!?! -thanks Brian

 

Hide a kill switch inside somewhere. I have had one on both my XJ's for years. very cheap and effective.
