Its not that I don't like my rig, nothing is wrong with it and it has shown me just how capable open open on 33s can be. If I sell off and buy an older stock XJ or MJ I'll have $$ to throw at the bike and credit card. I'm not a huge fan of my lift and such, but there's no point in parting out. I can take an OEM XJ or MJ and do shackle box, sliders, stiffeners, 1 ton steering, etc etc., and cruise around fine for quite a while. Then after planning , collecting, and saving. I can do axles, lift, lockers, etc all at once.
I still haven't made a listing for it, this is still all new thoughts but probably going to list it and try to find a stocker. Maybe a fixer upper that requires little work or somethin. I dunno. I like tinkering

i like my current xj so much better than my zj, or the 2 door after i went bigger. the zj was a beast on the trail. it was nice having all that flex and power, but it was too big for my taste. too heavy. too loud. i'm more of an expedition guy than a rock crawler anyway.
but yeah, i can see your point. if you can sell your xj for around 6ish, and then buy a pretty clean stocker for about $2k, throw $1k at it or less, you will have a nice driving rig, good on gas, reliable and trailable. plus $3k left over.
