Arizona
Well... most people don't believe this story but why would I lie? I used to smoke cigarettes. Quit 4 years ago and am very glad I did. The first few days after quitting cold turkey my sense of smell was amazing. I could smell EVERYTHING! Like almost too much. Then the opposite happened about a week later. Completely, 100% lost ANY sense of smell at all. Went to the doctor and he said "Well, it just happens to some people." Ugh. I am not kidding, can't smell food, can't smell bad smells, nothing. You could spray perfume right into my nose and I would smell zero. Nada. Nothing. The worst part is I love to cook and now I can't smell anything. I bring leftovers to work and coworkers say "that smells amazing!" Yeah, well... I wish I knew.

Looking for some Cherokee owners in Arizona to assist me with my new purchase. I just bought a 1993 Cherokee Sport for $600 and she has a couple issues. It has a Rancho 2.5" lift and is quite ugly...for now! It surprisingly runs & drives GREAT, under 55 MPH that is. On the freeway it starts to get a really bad wobble in the frontend. We got under it and the lower control arm was bad, so we replaced it and that fixed quite a bit of the wobble. Also picked up a new Rancho steering stabilizer and the new wheels and tires will be here today. I have done some research and see that this is a common problem and can be tricky diagnosing. I do not want to just start throwing parts on it hoping that each parts fixes the problem. I was hoping to get some advice from other owners that have went through this.
Thanks in advance!

But the I6 4.0 is one solid plant if you get one that's been maintained....along with the AW4 trans.

The XJ Cherokees are the most popular and were made from 1984 to 2001. The XJs are priced decent but good ones hold their value very well. TONS of aftermarket parts for them. Either look for a lower-mileage XJ or plan on replacing components over time.
The Grand Cherokee ZJ, which is what I have, was made from 1993-1998. They are less popular than XJs and less plentiful, but still a great choice in my opinion. The biggest difference other than looks is that the XJ has leaf springs in the rear and the ZJ has coil springs in the rear. Decent aftermarket parts available for ZJs, thought not as much as XJs.
The Grand Cherokee WJ, made from 1999-2004 can actually be a bargain if you find the right seller as they are not (yet) as popular as the previous two. Some might argue with me on that that WJs are more preferable than ZJs. I think it is personal preference.
Honestly, all of it is personal preference and finding one that fits YOU and your budget.
And please, let's not start the side by side vs Jeep debate. I love both, can currently only afford one (a Jeep).

I was curious if that's what he was talking about for sure. Oh I know... They are EXPENSIVE. I know one thing, I sure like windows, a heater and an A/C when I'm out tooling around in the sticks. lol
