Well its official, I'm going to be gone for the next three months. leaving next weekend and will be back the end of September ish. I should have a nice parts pile waiting for me when I get back. things on the wish list include, Wheels(soft8s or V5s), Tires(33x10.5s), front shocks, control arms(prolly fat bobs), SYE/shaft, the last of the front end components I haven't replaced, Oil pan gasket/RMS, tranny mount, maybe a new set of rear leafs, and when its all installed an alignment. Plus I'll finally get around to rebuilding/welding my door hinge. then my search for a rear end starts. 33s on a 35 isn't exactly the best idea but it will do until I do a 8.25 or 8.8 swap.

as far as wheels go what do you think the soft8s have 4" BS and the V5s have 3.75" BS. I heard the running 10.5s the 4" BS is better since you dont need the clearance because the tire is narrow. I just hate that everyone has them, v5s are just a lil more rare and look a lil better IMO

Oh and actually measured my lift the other day. sitting at a lil over 4 up front and 3.5 in the rear. plenty of room for 33s haha

And the rear axles in question are gonna be a chrystler 8 & 3/4" for a Half ton truck, and a DANA 60 if its a 3/4 ton truck.

 

Wish I could go. Firestone is replacing both caster adjusters tomorrow for their unprofessionalism (is that even a word?).

Anyone down for a Bitter Springs trail run later? Haven't been out there for a while. North 15, exit Moapa/Valley of Fire at the gas station and follow the dirt road all the way. Or maybe the Gypsum Mines on east Lake Mead.
