That's exactly why! I bought a bunch of steel but I've never done it before so I went through it all building these doors and I have just enough left to do the backs the way I want. An I figure the more bends you try to do then the easier it is to mess up haha

Hey guys! Here's everything I still have left!
'99 Intake Manifold (brand new)- $80
Long block + extra head + AW4 + everything attached to it. (overheating issue was due to a bad radiator. Just replaced the head gasket and head bolts. Cylinder walls looked great; still had a cross hatch) - $400
Brown Dog Mounts (Poly) - $70
Liquid Iron Industries leaf sliders - $150

So Xj overheated again. Second time again this summer. Never had any problems overheating until I fixed my a/c and started using it. Have hood vents, raised hood etc. anybody have any recommendations on what to replace? Been thinking of upgrading the radiator, but don't know which aftermarket radiators are good out there. Coolant still looks nice and green, not brown or murky. Oil is good. Don't sense any power loss so I guess I'm lucky so far. Guys have any ideas on what I can check or replace.

Is your electric fan working? It's supposed to come on with the AC to compensate for the additional heat generated. What about the other cooling components? How new are the water pump, viscus fan, thermostat, etc? If they're all original you should consider replacing them. They do wear out over time. As for radiator upgrades, I installed a CSF 3 row core model about two years ago when my 98 XJ was over heating. Since installing it (and replacing the items mentioned above) I can sit in 112 degree traffic downtown with the AC running and the temp stays about 220. I'm very satisfied with that radiator.

Honestly mine runs at great temps no matter how hot it is but the when I turn the a/c on it slowly creeps up in temperature. The problem with mine is I know everything is new and working good plus I have good vents so I always run ac till it gets too hot then turn the ac off for a while haha
