Hello all, new to the area and new to XJs. Just picked up a 96 with some light mods for a DD and wheeler. Would love to attend a meet and greet to learn and find some trails.

All the parts are finally in. Now I get to begin the reassembly process. This poor thing has been sitting in pieces for almost a year I'm not sure I remember where everything goes.

Warm springs and Lake Mead. I have to share a story now. Construction site on Warm Springs and Lake Mead, a Chevy 2500 was stuck in a little embankment. I was surprised to find that it was easy for my Inline 6 to pull him out. One casualty, my tow strap.

I'm sort of proud of that. What's the most I could pull? As far as getting someone unstuck, real short distance.

Bad luck man. What do you do when you break and axle shaft like that? How do you make it drive able to make it home?

Welcome to Vegas and welcome to the forum! I love new members! Fresh meat. If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to ask. We try and get together as often as we can, anywhere from 2-3 rigs up to 20, depending on what's going on. Post some pics of your rigs!

Pull the hub off the axle, pull the shaft, plug the hole, reatatch the hub, drive off.

Ok, so it's not like snapping a rear shaft, where it just falls out of the axle.
