anyone ever have an issue with lugnuts not staying tight and coming loose while driving? my new tires and rims on the rear loosened up on me after driving on them for about a week.

what kind of wheels, steel or alloy? and no. you could order new lugs and studs if you want. I got new ones when I got new wheels because I had miss matched ones to start with .Originally Posted by 93jeeplv

We put a disclaimer on our work orders saying to come back and have your lug nuts re-torqued on your new wheels within 5-7 days or like 200 -500 miles (something like that) . They usually don't need it but I've seen a few that have loosened and needed to be torqued

My HIDs are 6k bulbs. Your "56,000 degree" bulbs. Steel melts at 2,500 ish degrees. Glass is about the same. I feel like if you had that in your headlight your truck would melt
If it makes you happy I will measure the temperature of my headlights and rock lights and give you those as well as the Delta and let you decide

A 30watt led is pulling almost as much power as a halogen bulb concentrated in a spot the size of an eraser It's gonna produce a **** ton of heat. Where as all 600 of my 3528s are probably only 25watts of power spread out over 16 feet using the jeeps body as a heat sink. Heat is not noticeable at all you can't compare a 30 watt single bulb to a 3528 everything is relative. My HIDs are 6k bulbs. Your "56,000 degree" bulbs. Steel melts at 2,500 ish degrees. The normal temp of a halogens filament reaches about 2500°f if Im correct. Of course not all of that heat will reach the glass and turn the actual temp of the bulb 2500°fOriginally Posted by SoCalxJ4.0
Are you talking about color temperature? I guess broke down at the .... No, I just can't see it.
The HiDS I was referring to actually do get quite hot inside and so do yours. The housing itself may not be as greatly affected because your using a far less powerful bulb, but at 6,000 kelvin the arc of your bulb is still extreme. 10,340° F, actually. But Like I said most of that heat doesnt make it past the bulb or housing because of the lower number.
I had to modify my taiwanese projector headlamps so they wouldnt melt. I never measured the temp, but at five times the temperature of your bulbs, the residual heat without the modifications would have eventually started a fire. Just thought yall might be interested.
