Wheeled Nelsons yesterday down to the lake. Lots of soft deep gravel, outside temp almost 110F. (no snakes spotted)
Left around 5pm and on the way out my XJ got up to 240-250 so close to that nasty red zonee. ( part time 4hi & a.c. on blast for the lady) turned off a.c. when i hit pavement and switched back 2hi costed down the hill and temps went back to normal.
My motor and coolant system is all stock and I do not know when the last time it was flushed.
So Time to do radiator flush and maybe Tstat change.?? Any good known Tstat brands Jeep guys go with?

Just Don't need to wash her, the dirt mixes in with the Tan paint.
But I like to see black tires instead of dust coated all over.
I cringe every time i start my Jeep i the morning now that it is getting hot. That 0331 head makes my brown eye pucker in heat. After i install my lift, i am flushing my cooling system and buying a new water pump and t-stat just to make sure i has no issues on the trail.

I need the part that's on the driveshaft that slides into the tcase. Just put the 4wd tranny/tcase in so my 2wd slip yoke doesn't match up.

I've got it here. Just pulled it from my collection bin of old jeep parts. Needs new joints but it does have the boot and everything.

T stat has nothing to do with how hot your engine runs. all it does is let the engine heat up quicker and stay that hot in cold conditions allowing the ECM to run within its propper perameters. a colder Tstat does nothing to cool your engine in our heat.

your talking about the slip yoke on the DS? if so yes in my garage you can have it if you come pick it up tonight. if your talking about the main shaft in the tcase same story. I dont have the tail cone though.

I have the pre 96 internal yoke, Driver X has the post 96 external yoke. FYI
