teh jeep is down for the count... she overheated today after some good wheeling, got to about 300+ degrees before i noticed it and pulled off the road imediatly to let her cool down. waiting untill she was at about 120 or so before i started. drove about a mile before she got to 240 and i had a friend come pull me to base. started it on base and the cooling hoses wernt flowing, aux fan wasnt on and my over fill bottel was full. the waterpump and belt was replaced about 5-6 months ago. looking at replaceing the stock tstat, radiator and hoses. is there anything else i need to add in there? im really hopeing i didnt blow my headgasket, she starts alittle rougher then usual but always within the first try, idles smooth even at 240 degrees. altho i shut it off when it hit 240. she revs smooth, no stumbles or kicks even at 4500 rpms. oil level is perfect. is there anything else i would want to look into?

maybe radiator cap, maybe fan clutch. Maybe you need to run a switch to the electrical fan too.

I'm replacing my water pump, tstat, hoses, and radiator soon. It creeps up to about 220 while at stop lights. No big deal.

cant, i cant run it for more then 5 minutes with out it getting to 250 degrees. im thinkin the tstat is stuck closed. sorry man.
its the lakebed off the top of the bulivard, just below the 15.
it might be my noobishness comeing into play but what exactly would replaceing the radiator cap do? the clutch fan is working and the clutch is in good shape. altho i want to swap out for duel electrics soon. and the aux switch for the electric fan is comeing soon, i thought about doing that after i wire in the fog lights on the front bumperr.
those rims are pretty badass.

how much would that all be? tstats.. what 20 bucks? hoses are probably expensive and a good radiator is 100 maybe? not to sure, i havent looked up prices on anything yet.

Hoses $35
A good radiator $200
I liked my 3row CSF from radiator barn. I've thought about doing a 3 fan upgrade from ffdynamics or dirt bound offroad.

not as bad as i would have imagined. how many rows are the stock radiators? a 3 core sounds nice. and is there room for a 3rd fan? where would it go? lol.. or just 3 small fans instead of 2 bigger ones?
