I want to go and think I can but I won't have a hitch and a tow point in back by then realistically....let me know if that would be a serious issue.

Don't worry we wont be pulling you from behind... we will just keep dragging you along from the front

Should have asked this in my OP, but aside from a viable tow/recovery point, what do we NEED for a run like this. I have a hi-lift, fluids and all that stuff, but aside from that what would we need.

as mentioned a tow strap WITHOUT A HOOK on either end, a CB and pack a lunch( i cook burritos on my engine for lunch) and bring water for you to drink..this is a good tuff (sorta) trail. we have taken Patriots (yes they got some minor damage) and just last week I took a bone stock 4 cyl wrangler up it. High lift should not be needed but nice to have...if we have vehicles with us that are lift challenged we can stack some rocks to get them up and over any rough spots...there really is only about 4 spots that are "challenging"on Gold mtn 1 That will get your attention pretty quick but at the end of the day you will be wanting more . Little john bull also has some tough portions but I will spot those who need a spot ...again this is the trail we take the "Orange group" up the last day of the Jamboree so we will have a blast...... looking forward to meeting you all up there
Cameron

p.s. the Valero station on Big bear blvd is the cheapest in town and I suggest you fill up there before you get to Dennys...Valero is on the right as you hit the main part of Big bear blvd in Big bear and Dennys is on the left about a 1/2 from the Valero station... you guys can PM me for any questions and my phone #

Ryan..I think you will be just fine...you have seen my Jeep...i dont like dents or scratches on my stuff and I wont drag you up something that would hurt you or your jeep. ...again this is why I like taking STOCK stuff on trails..you all that havent wheeld ever or very little on challenging stuff will learn alot and will be amazed on how your "station Wagon" does!

...one last thing folks..please make sure you have a decent clutch and or a decent automatic (no slipping clutches or iffy shifting autos). last jamboree we had to strap a Grand most of the way up this trail due to them having a questionable trans...it was not fun

Gold and little john bull are great trails to show what a stock Jeep can do! Like i said this would be for people with stock jeeps and or new to off roading...hard core welcome but wont be too challenging for that group! Is anyone interested in doing something like this?...I throw it out there and if this interests you all let me know and we will finalize a date.

I am going to try to make it sounds like fun and learn new areas and about area at the same time.

for all you stockers ..bring the tools to disconnect your front sway bars or buy and install disconnects...I would not disconnect them UNTIL you get up there ..also Pep boys sells a decent air compressor for like $45-50..not a MUST have but is nice to have to air back up once back on the road
