I'd be up for it, but it *is* late notice and I've already made plans to be up in L.A. tomorrow (Saturday). Maybe next time. I wanna go out into the desert, but I don't want to go solo until I make sure my installed parts hold and I get some confidence under my belt. (I got stuck 10 miles out into Anza Borrego last year.) This would've been the perfect ride for that. Exploratory and nothing crazy. Like I said, next time...with some notice.

That was a lot of fun! My Jeep, despite being almost totally stock (and pretty old!) did pretty well and never really got stuck. It did bottom out and scrape ground a few times though and at one point slammed down hard on a steep set of rocks/hill and made a superficial dent under the passenger door's floorboards but overall I was impressed with how it did. I can now confirm that my 4x4, both high and low, works properly and ck1 goaded me to take a few hills, both ascending and descending, to make sure we were testing it out adequately. I definitely want to go out again!
Thanks again ck1 and have a Merry Christmas.

I'm in for either day as long as I can get new tires by then. Running on tijuana slicks right now! Ha Ha!! Anyone have a set of 31's they want to let go of?
A little new to the wheeling seen so this might be a good trip to cut my teeth. Would be coming from the Pismo area.
