Big bear beginners/stock run

Hi all...I am thinking of doing a beginners/historical run up in big bear. I been a trail guide for the Jeep jamboree there and in Borrego springs each year and take the stock group up gold mountain, thru holcomb valley Little john bull, Jacoby canyon, Hang mans tree etc. and tell about the history up there. Gold and little john bull are great trails to show what a stock Jeep can do! Like i said this would be for people with stock jeeps and or new to off roading...hard core welcome but wont be too challenging for that group! Is anyone interested in doing something like this?...I throw it out there and if this interests you all let me know and we will finalize a date.

I've been up there a few times, just did Gold Mountain a few weeks ago. You'll probably want at least skid plates to pull off gold stock? I'm always down for meeting new people and wheelin. I'm in depending on the date.

Sounds fun and if the stockers can handle it, I am sure my rig can. One question though: I know tow hooks are requried by the Jamboree folks but is it something I definitely need for these runs anyway or could I skate on what I've got for this one? You know my rig best, ck1.

Thanks,

You should get some...if u have a trailer hitch get a hitch mount d ring like have..as far as the front..u got that bullbar bumper deal so it would work but not the best way to go..would love to see a few more people want to go..oh a CB is also nice to have on a run like this...if not to listen to me run my mouth but CBs are great for talking smack to others in the group :)

Sounds great. Unfortunately, I'm working on my Cherokee and won't be ready for about 5 weeks.

My jeeps not stock but I would like to go. I live in the high des and always like meeting new ppl to go wheeling with. Let's get a date going so I can see if I can go.

I would love to go through Holcomb Valley & Little John Bull. Gold Mountain is on the list the next time I am up there. I like going with groups. I would be available towards the middle/end of September; or October would be prime! I will follow along this thread and see what gets planned. Count me in.
